The Lancaster men were ill clad, often insufficiently provisioned and suffered much from the rigors of the climate in their Canadian barracks at Ft. Cumberland (near Bay of Fundy)

CJV:There was another Jonathan, from Lancaster, who married Mary Houghton, also from Lancaster. They married on Jan. 20, 1725. Record from the Vital Records of Lancaster, MA to 1850.
The Jonathan Houghton who was the Lt. is shown as being from Lancaster. He served 7/14/40-42 under Capt. John Prescott, and went on an expedition to the West Indies.
There are two other entries for Jonathans in the military:
Pvt. Jonathan from Leominster, 2/15/55-11/25/55, under John Spafford
Pvt. Jonathan from Lancaster, 9/15/55-11/30/55 (died), under Samuel Flint.

The booklet appears to have been sent by Mary Gleason Houghton, widow of Rufus Houghton, for pension purposes to US Gov office by her agent Mr. McGee.

Ancestry.com: Donna: All the papers belong to the [military pension] investigation on Rufus. The family correspondence between their Lawyer and the committee to prove Rufus was in both wars of 1776 and 1812. Rufus lied about his age when he enlisted into the war of 1812 .

As for how I'm related I'm still researching my Asa Houghton he could be a cousin or son .
My search style may bother you but this is the only way I can keep track without losing what Info I have found .

with the Assessments of Cramahe I have Joshua W Conklin listed alongside Jonathan Gleason and Patrick Moore , The assessments were done as a role call rather than alphabetical . So I would assume they knew each only so many families in the area in 1803 . Patrick Moore and Jonathan Gleason are found seated near or signed the assessments together in a number of assessments.

Asa Houghton was listed with the Gleason boys in the Military .

Asa's son Joshua W Houghton named a child Luther possibly named after Luther Houghton son of Rufus.

NEHGR, 2006: The Real Wife of Ephraim Fairbank of Lancaster and Bolton, Mass. Joy F. Peach
Ephraim⁵ Fairbank (Jabez^4-3, Jonas², Jonathan'), was bom at Lancaster, Massachusetts, about 1725, and died at Bolton, Massachusetts, on 18 November 1799 in his 75th year.¹'¹ No marriage record for him has been found, but the records of his children's births say his wife’s given name was Achsah.^|:] The Fairbanks genealogy gives her surname as “Goeth(?),^,,3! and this name has been used, albeit without the “(?)” in several places, including the DAR Patriot Inde:r¹⁴* and Bolton Soldiers and Sailors in the American Revolution.’^5I The Rev. Frederick Lewis Weis, in his massive typescript on the early families of Lancaster, was more cautious, stating only that “Ephraim Fairbank married Achsah."**’¹ Attempts to find anyone with the surname Gocth in the entire area have met with failure, so it is not known where the compiler of the Fairbanks genealogy obtained his incorrect information. Perhaps it was a misreading of an old record.
Achsah's identity as the daughter of Jonathan³ (John²') and Thankful (White) Houghton, born at Lancaster on 16 January I724/5,^17J was discovered by accident while researching Houghtons at the Worcester County Registry of Deeds. On 14 July 1747. Jonathan Houghton and Rufus Houghton of Leominster, yeomen; Simon Whitcomb, yeoman, and Thankful his wife; Israel Whitcomb and Azubah his wife; Keziah Houghton, single woman; Ephraim Fairbanks and Achsah his wife-, Samuel Moore and Zerviah his wife; Ephah Houghton, single woman; Nathaniel Sawyer and Mary his wife, for £100 paid by Zcphaniah Williams, deeded to the said Zcphaniah all their right in the estate of their uncle Houghton late of Lancaster, deceased, as well as any right that might have accrued to their father, Jonathan Houghton.
The grantors of this deed were all children of Jonathan and Thankful (While) Houghton, their births recorded in Lancaster vital records. The children are also all in Jonathan's will, dated 7 April 1737, in which Jonathan named his beloved wife Thankful, his eldest son Jonathan, his second son. Rufus, and his seven daughters, the five youngest being Keziah, Azubah, Asa [sic]. Zerish. and Epha. and the two eldest being Thankful Whitcomb and Mary Sawyer.¹¹⁰¹
If any doubt as to Achsah's parentage still exists, note that Ephraim and Achsah named their first child Thankful (born 31 January 1746/7), and later named a son Jonathan (born 26 February I76I) both evidently in honor of Achsah's parents.
