Obituary: on 28 May 2015: Louis "Wigi" Vella February 17, 1929 - May 25, 2015
Wigi Vella was born to Carmen and Tony Vella in his beloved Gozo, Malta. He immigrated to San Francisco in 1948 and was proud of the life he created for his family in America. He delighted in passing on his Maltese heritage to his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tony, brothers John, Joseph, and Ninu, sister Maria, and son-in-law Ernie. His greatest joy was in adoring his wife Theresa and she will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his children Mary Gomes, Tony (Lisa), John, & Joe (Maria Paz), grandchildren Celina Sutton (Jeff), Timothy Vella (Elvia), Dominic Gomes, Nicole Humke (Danny), Joseph Vella & Jared Vella, great-grandchildren Walt & Naima Sutton, and Sofia & Timmy Vella and brother George (Salvina) and sister Catherine. He loved, and was loved by many nieces and nephews all over the world. Wigi also enjoyed life with special friends that were just like family. His physical strength could only be outdone by his incredible strength of character. And his love of working with his hands in his garden or building with his tools, was only overshadowed by his tender love for his family and friends.2 Louis Paul Anthony Vella was also known as Wigi Vella.

Obituary: on 16 September 2023: George Vella, 91 years old: is the Husband of Salvina Vella and Father of Doris, Tony, Steve, and Phil.
Dad arrived in the US from Gozo on 02/04/1952 at the age of 21 and joined the Air Force 01/06/1953. Dad always was good in numbers and vocabulary, no surprise he was promoted to a Sergent in the Air force in a few years. He worked hard and always said anything was possible if you work hard and want it bad enough. Every House we lived in he always built an addition, it’s no wonder his sons and nephews are Contractors. He taught us to save money and invest and I thank him so much for installing those values. Dad worked for the Telephone Company for many years and retired at the age of 55 years. He traveled and enjoyed life and the adventure. Dad loved and is loved by many and surely will be missed every day. He will always be in our hearts forever and his wisdom will guide us to the right path in life. We all now have another Angel watching over us.
