Obituary: on 12 July 2004: ANN AQUILINA Our beloved mother, blessed with the kindest soul on earth, entered into rest on July 9, 2004. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Thomas and is survived by their three children. She is the adored grandmother of seven and six cherished great grandchildren, Alexander, Fletcher, Jacqueline, Harrison, Nicolas Ames and Matthew St. Geme; all of whom loved her and will miss her presence. She was born in San Francisco on December 24, 1914, to Joseph and Helen Azzopardi. Her ten brothers and sisters predeceased her, yet left her with many nieces and nephews that fondly knew her as Auntie Annie. The family greatly appreciates the wonderful, nurturing care provided by Mills Estate Villa for the last year of our mom's life as well as the sensitive efforts of the medical staff of Mills-Peninsula Hospital. What will bring us together in the celebration of Ann's life is our shared experiences of her as a woman, mother, friend and above all, a kind soul who listened well and shared in our joys and sorrows. Her compassion and understanding will be missed and will remain forever in our memories.
