Sellers, Tampa, son, Winston R. Houghton, Lake Worth, Brother, Guy M. Mann, and sister, Miss Ethel Mann both of Georgia, grandchildren, Mrs. Patricia Britt, Mrs. Ruth Garrett, Miss Kathleen Houghton all of Lake Worth, Frederick A. Houghton III, Tampa, and Richard Britt Jr., of Lake Worth. Mrs. Houghton was a retired LPN and worked at Centro Asturiano Hospital for 20 years.

ObituaryNov 8, 1956Mrs. Dora Thompson Haughton (1864-1956), 92, a resident of Palatka for 67 years, died last night at 8 o’clock at her home at 400 N. 4th Street where she had lived 58 years, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Rev. W. Pipes Jones officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in West View Cemetery under the direction of W. Carl Davis & Son Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were J. H. Millican, Archie Neck, J. Emmett Brown, Ralph Oliver, Frank J. Fearnside, J. A. Gibbon and Davis F. Dancy.
Mrs. Haughton was born in Keokuk, Iowa, Sept. 13, 1864, daughter of the late William and Emma Thompson. On Dec. 18, 1889 she married Joseph Husson Haughton in Fredonia, N.Y., and that year they moved to Palatka. One daughter, Dorothy, was born to this union and she died in 1922. Mr. Haughton died in 1950.
The deceased was a member off St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and was an active member of the Daughters of the King until a few years ago when ill health forced her retirement. She was also a charter member of the Palatka Woman’s Club in which she was most active for many years.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Mrs. Edward B. O’Hara, and one great-grandson, Merrill O’Hara, of Palatka; three nieces, Mrs. J. M. Harrell and Mrs. Morris B. Cochrane of Palatka and Miss Letitia Van Buren, New York City. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Friday, 8 Nov 1956.)
