George L. Houghton. 88, of Hallstead, Pa., passed away Friday. March 16, 1990 at the Barnes Kasson County Hospital in Susquehanna after an illness. He was predeceased by his first wife. Eva Houghton and one daughter. Lillian Houghton. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Holiday) Houghton; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Harold Houghton, Lanesboro. formerly of Horseheads. NY. Harry and Florence Houghton, Simi Valley, CA.. George and Beverly Houghton, RD I. Susquehanna. Eimer and Anne Houghton. Hallstead: eight grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Hallstead Presbyterian Church, the Canawacta Masonic Lodge #360, Susquehanna, International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #207, New Milford. He was past board member of the Barnes Kasson County Hospital serving for 12 years and past board member of the Susquehanna School District serving for 26 years and also served as republican committee man for many years.
