Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Darwin Perry, Chicago; and one son, Edward. Chicago; one brother. Thomas Whannel, Kimball, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Elder

He was a Boy Scout leader of Troop #40 B.S.A. in Abington MA for 20 years. He was a member of the Improved order of Redman in MA for 20 years. He was a parent advisor for 8 years in the Wareham Public Schools. He was employed by Damon Corp. of Needham MA, in the electronics divison, as a production supervisor, from the age of 18 until his death. He was a supervisor for Damon at age 32; he was on medical leave from there from age 38, after a heart attack.. He had Hodgkin's disease from age 20.²
