BERNARDS TWP. — William Emmett Houghton of Basking Ridge died yesterday at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Houghton was born in New York City and lived in Ridgewood before moving to Basking Ridge in 1962.
He was a 1933 graduate of Syracuse University. Befoer retiring in 1974, Mr. Houghton was a sales executive with Allied Corp., Morris Township. He had been with the company for 42 years. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; a son, William E. Jr., Doylestown, Pa; a daughter, Anne Hopkins, Knoxville, Tenn; and three grandchildren.
