NEW LONDON - Mrs. Arlene P. Houghton. 86. of 107 West Main St. died Friday afternoon after a brief illness
She was bom and lived her entire life in the same home in New London Mrs Houghton retired in 1971 after 43 years employment at the C.E. Ward Co. She attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music and had traveled with the Chautauqua as a performer on the piano and cello. She had been an organist at the former Congregational Church and had played the organ at the former Carolyn Theater during the silent movie days. She is survived by a daughter. Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Burton of New London; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Eastman Funeral Home by the Rev Allen Conway Burial will be in Grove St Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home 4r
afternoon in Crestline Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
She was born in Bucyrus and had worked as a beautican in Mansfield. Bucyrus and Crestline. Mrs. Reber moved to Crestline from Bucyrus in 1964 She was a graduate of Mansfield Beauty Academy and a member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Crestline She is survived by her husband. Robert; a daughter, Mrs Douglas (Sandra» Garrett of Crestline. RD 2; a son. Michael of Hartville. 0; her mother. Mrs. Nellie Baum of Bucyrus; two grandchildren; a brother, Jack Baum of Columbus and four sisters. Mrs. Robert Teynor and Mrs. Ralph Miller. both of Bucyrus. Mrs. Lester Auck of Mansfield and Mrs John Blackford of Chat- field
