     He had the following children: Jeanette, Tudy, and Beryl Verdin.
Obituary: : Joe passed away peacefully at his home in South San Francisco on April 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 96. Joe was born in El Paso, Texas to Otelia and Asencion Verdin on February 1, 1926. Joe wed Erlinda and together they had three daughters, Jeanette, Tudy, and Beryl. From 1963 to 1988, Joe worked at Schwartz Sausage Company in San Francisco where he met Mary. On April 27th, 1985, Joe and Mary were wed. They lived together in South San Francisco, California with Mary’s daughters Josie, Annette, and Janice. Joe happily helped Mary raise these young girls who called him “poppy”. Joe was an excellent craftsman and loved cooking, golfing, traveling, and watching football, basketball, and boxing. He went on twelve cruises and visited countless countries around the world, including Malta, primarily with his wife Mary, Louis and Mary Caruana (his brother-n-law and sister-in-law), David and Giuseppina Simi (his stepdaughter’s in-laws), and Maria Antone (Mary’s best friend). Joe is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his sister Teresa, his daughters Jeanette, Tudy, and Beryl, his stepdaughters Josie (Greg), Annette (Don), and Janice (Lucas), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that he loved so dearly. To blend his two families together, Joe orchestrated annual Christmas morning gatherings, where he prepared delicious huevos rancheros for all of his loved ones. As we remember our Joe: Husband, Dad, Poppy, Grandpa, Nannu, and dear friend, we will keep hold of the wisdom and love of life that he gave to us all: to work hard, laugh often, and, by all means, live a full life filled with excitement, joyful memories, and to be thankful for it all. We will always remember that wherever he went, he brought positive energy and lit up every room he walked into, all the while encouraging everyone to not worry about the past, or the future, but to focus on the present and to live every day with passion. Joe’s strong spirit and kind soul will be greatly missed by all of the lives he touched. Honorio S. Verdin was also known as Joe.

     Tristan Viviani was born in February 2004 in USA. Biography A new face for the Maltese under-18 national team as first-time Maltese-born defender Tristan Viviani is called up. Viviani plays as a full-back left and turned 18 in February. He was born and lived in the United States, where he plays for the San Jose Earthquakes, and obtained a Maltese passport because he comes from a Maltese family. Viviani is one of the under-18 players called up by national coaches Alessandro Zinnari and Stefano Grima to be part of a contingent traveling to Cyprus. The Maltese will play two friendly matches against the national under-18 team of Cyprus, next Friday and Sunday.
