G. Houghton Ex-Teacher
Services for Glenn H. Houghton, who retired in 1950 after 37 years as a Pittsburgh school teacher, will be held at 3:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Donald E. Eaton Funeral Home, 733 Ross Ave., Wilkinsburg. Mr. Houghton. 78. died Tuesday (Oct. 1) at his home, 110 Sherwood Road. McMurray, Washington County.
He was a life member of the National Education Association and active in the Delta Lodge No. 699. F&AM. He was life member of the Syria Temple and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, of McMurray.

Surviving are his wife, Oleva Van Tine Houghton; two daughters, Mrs. Mary H. Bates and Mrs. Gleneva H. Barrho; and five grandchildren.

James V. Haughton; Well Known in Area James V. Haughton, formerly! of 110 North Nice street. Frackville, passed away at the Yorkville Convalescent Home. Pottsville, after a brief illness.
A well known Frackville resident for more than 40 years, he was a retired salesman. Born in Mabanoy Plane he was a son of the late James and Rose (Reddy) Haughton. The family moved to Shenandoah where he attended the public schools. At one time he and his wife, the former Nellie Sheehy, who passed away 16 months ago. resided in Wyoming where they were homesteaders and operated a retail store. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the R Guinan and Company. Mahanoy City; the J. B. Liebman Company, of Pottsville. and Capital Furniture Stores of Pottsville and Reading.A former president of the Frackville Board of Health, he was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. Rev ' James A. Hogan Council 2580 *jof Frackville A member of St. ’ Joseph’s Church, he'was also a member of the parish Holy Name Society. He is surivived by a son, James F. Haughton; a daughter. Mrs. Thomas McGinlev. ol Overland. Park. Kans. Twc ‘Igrandchildrcn. a sister. Mrs. Daniel Leary, of Emmaus. Pa and several nephews and nieces.Funeral services will be hel at 9:30 o’clock Wednesday moi ing from the Edward J. Uurki Funeral Home. 217 South Le- . high avenue. Frackville.
