Obituary

Eberhard, Elizabeth Ann Houghton Age 84 of Holland,went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Grand Rapids. Ann was born in Buffalo, NY to Francis and Elizabeth (Jaquette) Houghton. She graduated from high school in Heidelberg, Germany, and then attended the University of Maryland, where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in History (Summa Cum Laude). She joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while at the University of Maryland. Ann was actively involved in church, the Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton Chapter of the DAR, the Colonial Dames of America, and led Bible studies for many years. She and Donald raised their children in Southern California and Holland, MI. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donald Eberhard in 2014; and 3 children, Nancy, Carol, and Katie. She is survived by her brother, Commander Robert (Miriam) Houghton; children, Lucy and Dan Kolean, Jeannette and Jim Taylor, Charley and Kim Eberhard, Sarah and Mike Dickinson, Andy and Julie Eberhard; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A memorial service will be April 15, 2017, 11:00am at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be April 15, from 9-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thru the Bible Radio, or to Joni and Friends.
