Biography

Nancy was 7 months pregnant when her husband James died. 2 months later she and her children traveled with her in laws from Sulphur Bluff, Texas by 40 wagon caravan to California. She remarried to James Goodwin c. 1870. I do not know what she died of. She was buried with her first husband James and the name Houghton is on the grave and not that of her second husband Goodwin.⁸
