Biography

Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA, USA, John is a physicist who works for the Smithsonian doing research on gravity at the Astrophysical Observatory in Massachusetts. Lived in the area for 25 years, but grew up in Delaware. Met his wife-to-be in the course of putting on a joint concert by their two college choruses (Wellesley and MIT). Later, they were both members of a mixed chorus at MIT, but exigencies of baby sitting eventually forced them to take turns singing in the chorus. He has been singing in a chamber chorus and his wife joined a community chorus in their town. He enjoys collecting stamps and coins, tennis, camping, reading, and his work, which involves a great deal of computing. He got the genealogy bug from reading a genealogy prepared by his great-uncle for the Eanes family in Virginia, and then a Chandler genealogy prepared by a distant relation.
