Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lilia Houghton. West Palm Beach; a granddaughter, Mrs. Marcia Strickland, New York City, and a grandson, Richard II Bill. Pittsburgh, Pa.
Burial will be in Marlboro.

HUGH B. HOUGHTON WESTMINSTER WEST -Hugh B. Houghton, 75, formerly of this town, died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital, White River Junction. Services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls. Burial will be in the spring in Westminster West Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westminster West Congregational Church in care of Mrs. George Coffin. He was bom in Westminster West on Sept. 21, 1896, son of Bert J. and Jennie (Ormsby) Houghton. He had spent most of his life in this area and worked in the trucking business until his retirement. Since Oct. 1970 he had resided at the Soldiers Home in Bennington. He was a graduate of Brattleboro High School and served with the Army during World War I. He was a communicant of the Congregational Church of Westminster West and a member of Pierce-Lawton Post, American Legion, in Bellows Falls. He leaves one brother, Freeman J. Houghton of Hardwick, and a sister, Miss Carrie Houghton of Springfield, Mass
