Ruby Eileen Crozier age 71, of Paola, Kansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2015.

Ruby was born March 5, 1943 the third child of six born to Ival and Mary (McCartney) House. She attended school in Gallatin, Missouri and graduated from Gallatin High School with the class of 1961.

She married Jim Houghton and became the mother of three children. She later married David Crozier in 1984, they made their home in Paola.

Ruby worked for over thirty-five years for America’s Favorite Fundraiser where she worked alongside her best friend, Sue Bramen of Grandview, Missouri
.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and one son Randy Houghton.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirty years David of the home, son Steve (Lisa) Houghton of Olathe, KS, daughters: Lisa D. (Todd) Oswald of Gardner, KS, Lynn Hauschel (Jeff Look) of Springfield, MO, Lisa J. Houghton (David Hoskins) of Richmond, MO and Lori (Ken) Vetter of Allen, TX, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one on the way, whom all miss her very much.

Mona H. Viator

LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 1:00 PM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Mona Houghton Viator, age 50, who died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Milton.

Deacon Cody Miller, with St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Tracy Brown. Eulogist will be Fawn Hernandez.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years David A. Viator; her daughter, Fawn Milagros Hernandez and husband Justin; her son, Cory Lee Viator; her grandson, Jaxson David Viator; her sisters, Phyllis Stephens and Tracy Brown; and her brother, Chuck Houghton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Charles Houghton and Judith Raye Bailey.

A resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mona was a member of the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, was a Louisiana Notary Public, and was the founder of the "No Mo Chemo" Program at Women's & Children's Hospital in Lafayette. She was the owner of Acadiana Banners and Signs for several years. Her joys in life were riding her motorcycle, caring for others, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Jaxson. She will be remembered for her welcoming spirit, her zest for life and her beautiful smile. Mona never met a stranger, just a friend she had not been introduced to yet. She will be deeply missed, but forever loved.

Pallbearers will be David Viator, Cory Viator, Ben Landry, Johnny Stritzinger, Gary Brown, and Justin Hernandez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Houghton and Chuck Houghton.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

In lieu of the traditional remembrances, memorial contributions can be made in Mona H. Viator's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
