He was a self-employed welder and owned Pine Hill Welding at Hemlock, Mich. He was past mauler und life memherofSt. Charles Masonic Lodge No. 313 Fà AM.
Mr. Houghten in survived by his wife, Ardith Houghten; two sons, William A. Houghten and his wife Ruth Ann of Elsie and James R. Houghten of Flippin; four grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Donald and Cynthia Houghten, and one sister, Pearl Smithson of Clawson, Mich.
He wan preceded in death by a great-grandson.
