Tuberculosis. Illness Source: Note: Information gatherer from conversation with Harry Houghton Jr. on June17, 1991: Floyd had tuberculosis and spent a time in a sanitarium to keep him isolated. Floyd was the youngest of the siblings. He had a daughter named Joyce and a son named Allen. Joyce had passed away at the time of the conversation. Allen disappeared after coming out of the Army, having fought in WW II. No one ever heard from him again.
Death Record According to the Death Record, Floyd D. Houghton was 48 years old when he died. He was divorced at the time. There was an autopsy performed, used for certification.
